PFG's chairman and CEO was quoted in F&O Week about the CBOT's decision to prolong their fee waiver for market data for another year. Russ, Sr. points out that while the CBOT was not incurring any extra costs to provide this data to the customers, the FCM who creates the mechanism to deliver this data would incur costs as they would have to create the infrastructure.

In a press conference held earlier today at the Futures Industry Association Conference in Boca Raton, FL, PFG chairman and CEO Russell Wasendorf, Sr. announced the latest developments in the Trading Technologies lawsuit alleging patent infringement against PFG. Both Russ, Sr. and Harris Brumfield, TT’s CEO, agreed that the BEST Direct™ system, established in the 1990’s, predates TT’s patents-in-suit. TT acknowledged that it has never asserted infringement against PFG’s BEST Direct™ system and that this product does not infringe on the patents-in-suit. While a previous version of the BEST Direct Fast system developed by TradeMaven LLC and distributed for a short time by PFG was found to be infringing on the patents-in-suit, the current version of BEST Direct Fast 3.0x has not been accused of patent infringement. PFG will continue to support and offer BEST Direct Fast 3.0x to all existing and new clients. TradeMaven and PFG continue to work together to provide an excellent, innovative entry screen under the brand name of BEST Direct Fast.
