Rotary Club of Seneca
Our Area
Seneca is located in the extreme northwest corner of South Carolina. It
is nestled in the base of the southern Appalachian mountains on pristine
Lake Keowee and the headwaters of Lake Hartwell. The area is well-known
for its many waterfalls and great natural beauty.
Once a strictly agricultural area, the South Carolina upstate has seen a
rapid growth of industrial plants. This combined with the appeal of the
area for retirement has diversified the economy.
We are graced with a temperate climate, yet four distinct seasons. The wonderful
weather is supplemented with clean air and excellent water. All of this
is in the serenity and safety of a small town.
